The Biezen is a quiet nature island. The bowl-shaped harbor is surrounded by trees, so you won't be bothered by the wind. In the morning and evening, you will be treated to a fantastic bird concert.

On this island, you will find a nature toilet, a natural playground, a swimming platform, and a beach.

Practical information

Capacity: approximately 35 moorings.

Depth: 1.80 meters at the front of the harbor, 1.60 meters at the pier.

Facilities

Dogs welcome, canoe mooring, BBQ allowed, fire pit, camping allowed in a tent (5 euros per night).

Approach route

From the main channel, coming from the direction of Zeewolde, turn slightly to port at the fixed green beacon. The entrance is on the east side. From Harderwijk, as you sail on the Wolderwijd, you will see The Biezen (around the corner) on the starboard side. If you sail along the dyke until you reach the height of the island, you will bypass any water plants.

Mooring fee

During the day, the use of The Biezen is free. From 16:00 onwards, it is 0.80 euros per meter of boat per night. For evening guests who do not stay overnight, there is a rate of one euro per person. Please note that mooring cannot be reserved.
