Knarland is an island for nature lovers. The bay provides shelter against the waves of the Wolderwijd in windy conditions. The island is beautifully covered in vegetation and offers plenty of shaded areas, but also has a small beach. The open central area with the large overgrown sand plain gives a bit of a Wadden Sea feeling.

Capacity: approximately 40 mooring spots.

Depth: 1.50 meters.

Facilities:

Dogs welcome, BBQ allowed, fire pit, camping allowed in tents (4 euros per night).

Approach route:

Ships with keel are better off taking the western entrance. From the main channel, along the Knardijk with the provincial road, continue until perpendicular to the entrance to the harbor. The mooring spots are located on the southern bank. Please do not moor to the nature islands. The eastern entrance is shallow and there are some rocks and other obstacles near the harbor head. So be very careful here!

Mooring fee:

During the day, the use of Knarland is free. From 4:00 PM, it is 0.80 euros per meter of boat per night. For evening guests who do not stay overnight, there is a fee of one euro per person, for example, with a BBQ.

Island hopping? With the season pass from Gastvrije Randmeren, you can use the islands/mooring spots of Gastvrije Randmeren all summer.
