The Erkemederstrand is located on the Nuldernauw near Zeewolde. The off-leash area consists of a 1.5 km long dog beach and a 5 km long dike (also off-leash area) up to Zeewolde.

In 2018, the Erkemederstrand was voted the most fun dog walking spot in the Netherlands! A well-deserved winner, as it truly is a dog paradise!

Dogs are allowed to run, swim, and play on the beach, and since this is clearly a dog beach, no one minds. The water gradually gets deeper, making it a safe place for your dog to learn how to swim. There are toilets, (free) poop bags, dog showers, and at the beach pavilion "de Jutter", located at the adjacent campsite, dogs are also very welcome.

The dog beach is open all year round, and on hot days, you can of course enjoy a day of sunbathing and swimming with your dog(s).
