From the picnic area at the Boeren Pitstop, you can take a long walk through the Horsterwold forest and along the farmland on the so-called Wellington Boots Trail. Depending on the season and the target group, route booklets with different themes and experiential assignments are offered. For children, there is a route booklet with active assignments where they learn about nature and enjoy together using all their senses. A variation of this is the "Looking Forward to Autumn" walk in the fall. Adults can take a Meaningful Walk on the Wellington Boots Trail, alone or with someone else, where they have a delightful moment for themselves while enjoying nature, with the help of reflection questions along the way.

The Wellington Boots Trail is for adventurous hikers: the path is not paved and can be difficult to navigate at times. So put on your boots and wear long pants to protect yourself from prickly plants. The route has a distance of 4.5 km, but can be shortened to 2 km for young children.

You can start or finish the Wellington Boots Trail with a fun stop at the farm at Boeren Pitstop. To peek at the cows in the barn, play in the treehouse, or enjoy a well-deserved ice cream or other delicacy from the farm after all those kilometers in your legs.
