Zeewolde is home to several natural areas. One area that may not be so well-known is the Priembos. It is a young forest, adjacent to the Hoge Vaart. It mainly consists of poplars, willows, ashes, maple trees, beech trees, and locust trees. Along the Hoge Vaart, there are nature-friendly shores that make the forest attractive to beavers.

The forest is an extension of the Horsterwold and serves as a connection between the Stichtse Putten and the forest areas near Almere. The forest is freely accessible and is located in the triangle between Hoge Vaart, Gooiseweg, and Adelaarsweg (also the starting point).

Dogs are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash.
