About this listing

A tourist transfer point (TOP) is the perfect starting point where you can park your car and enjoy cycling or walking from there. Different (signposted) cycling and walking routes start from a TOP. This way, you can easily discover the most beautiful places in Flevoland. The TOPs in Flevoland are recognizable by the corten steel information pillar that is almost 3 meters high.

Zeewolde has three tourist transfer points.

TOP Woldstrand (Starting Point Restaurant fika.)

The Woldstrand, loved by the residents of Zeewolde. Due to Zeewolde's location on the water, various water sports are practiced. Just north of the village, there is also a watersports island in the shape of a large tulip. Zeewolde's relationship with water is also visible inland. At Pavilion De Verbeelding, you will find the famous landscape artwork 'Sea Level'. The top of this long wall indicates how high the seawater would be if there were no dikes.

Cycling routes: Horsterwold route (30 km) & Oud- en Nieuwland route (40 km).

Walking route: Kunstbaan (7.5 km).

TOP Horsterwold (Starting Point Camping De Parel)

The Horsterwold is one of the largest contiguous deciduous forests in the Netherlands. A wilderness where you can still experience peace and space. With some luck, you may spot a roe deer, konik horse, fox, or fallow deer! Discover it by bike or on foot. Visit the Watchtower, which offers an impressive view of the Stille Kern. Or go on a wildlife safari through the Stille Kern with the nature guide from Staatsbosbeheer.

Cycling routes: Horsterwold route (30 km) & Hoge Knarsluis route (38 km).

Walking route: Stille Kern route (12 km).

TOP Eemhof (Starting Point Brasserie Zuiderzoet)

The Hulkesteinse forest; a forest where the water level is deliberately kept high and unique vegetation and special animal species occur. The Hulkesteinse forest is also a historically valuable area; people already lived here before it was swallowed by the sea.

The Laakse Slenk offers you a glimpse into the past. An old watercourse has been excavated in the landscape, where special findings have been made. Such as a medieval cog and a prehistoric fireplace. There is a walking path along the banks.

Cycling routes: Hulkesteinse route (34 km) & Eemmeer route (48 km).

Walking route: Hulkesteinsebos and Laakse Slenk (12 km).
