About this listing

Birdwatching in the Randmeer forests can be done in the bird observatory in the Stille Kern. The design of the bird observatory was created by the Zeewoldse artist Rob van den Broek and has the shape of a bird. The larch wood comes from the Noordoostpolder. The construction is therefore a true Flevoland product.

From the bird observatory, you have a magnificent view over the Stille Kern area, the heart of the Horsterwold. The area is rich in birds, including the turtledove, cuckoo, warbler, and nightingale. You might also come across a loudly calling raven and with some luck, the gray shrike. The area also has a high density of mammals such as deer and fox. The fallow deer also lives in the area. The bird observatory can be reached from the parking lot on Flediteweg, Zeewolde.
