The Hulkestein forest; a forest where the water level is intentionally kept high, resulting in a unique vegetation and the presence of special animal species. The Hulkestein forest is also a historically valuable area; people were already living here before it was swallowed by the sea.

The Laakse Slenk gives you a glimpse into the past. An old watercourse has been excavated in the landscape, resulting in remarkable findings such as a medieval cog and a prehistoric fireplace. A walking path runs along the banks.
