From the age of seven and with a swimming diploma, boys and girls can learn to sail in an Optimist, a single-handed youth dinghy. The Zeewolde Watersports Association has six Optimist boats of their own which can be rented by children who do not have their own boat.

Guided by a team of experienced, enthusiastic certified instructors, the children are offered theory and practical lessons in a playful way. The lesson program is tailored to the CWO requirements and can lead to a recognized diploma or progress report. In addition, we also provide customized lessons, tailored to the abilities of the student.
