Making immutable things movable, taking them apart into pieces, searching for infinitely many new arrangements. These are design processes that are inherent in the work of Carel Visser. The motif of slicing into slices lies at the basis of this sculpture. It is constructed from one long steel beam connected to six equal pieces. If the loose blocks were to be linked together, they would be equal in length and weight to the beam.
